In these contracts, payment of consulting fees is tied to mutually agreed upon, pre-determined milestones with identified outcomes and timetables. We believe this provides a fair way for clients to qualitatively assess the value SynaptiCore will bring to an engagement. It also keeps cost-containment “top of mind” for SynaptiCore while delivering price assurance to the client. And when the nature or scope of an engagement does not lend itself well to a milestone-based contract, SynaptiCore works with the client in other ways to build quality and price assurance into the agreement.
How Does it Work?
At the beginning of the engagement, SynaptiCore launches our Discovery service. The Discovery phase typically involves 2 - 3 weeks with SynaptiCore’s top executives interviewing your hospital’s key stakeholders, project managers and project team members.
Completion of Discovery leads to the development of a Project Charter, a Scope Document and a Project Plan that SynaptiCore structures with milestones. Once mutually agreed upon, these milestones will then be used to trigger your project payments to SynaptiCore. Put another way: SynaptiCore will not get paid until these milestones are achieved.
Once the project begins, SynaptiCore uses our Implementation Methodology working closely with your project team to implement the product, service or solution. Our Implementation Methodology begins with the Requirements Gathering phase using our innovative “Clarif-i” product, a tool that streamlines requirements-gathering for our clients and provides a centralized repository for workflow analysis, electronic process definitions, and more. We then move through the Implementation Methodology until the end when we arrive at the activation point for the project.
